Character Trait for November
The six key character traits are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. We encourage students, staff and parents to incorporate these positive traits into everything they do.
Each month, Pachappa students will be exposed to a new pillar of character. Students will have the ability to receive a Tiger Tail if the student is observed doing an act of trustworthiness this month in the classroom or on the playground. There will be a drawing at the end of each week for a small prize.
• Be tolerant of differences. Be kind to all people.
• Use good manners, use positive language.
• Be considerate of the feelings of others.
• Don’t threaten, hit or hurt anyone.

RUSD Technology Plan: Public Input Survey
We realize that technology has greatly impacted the way in which we interact with world, and will have a dramatic impact on the lives of our students moving forward. In order to prepare our students for this ever-changing digital world, RUSD is committed to creating a comprehensive technology plan that addresses the needs of our current students, as well as the needs of our future students. In order to ensure that we creating the best plan for our students, we are asking for the public's input.
In the mail you should have received your student’s Smarter Balanced assessment (SBAC) scores. The district’s goal is to not only help parents interpret the new scoring system and test results, but also to easily explain and give some background on why their kids are taking the Smarter Balanced assessment, and how it’s related to the world of Common Core.
If we can get every Pachappa parent to donate just 1 to 2 hours of their time, we can accomplish wonderful things for our children and our school. We are asking you to help us pave a way for our children, giving them all the resources available to help enrich their minds and bodies. Just 1 or 2 hours a day, week, or month, can make all the difference.
