Today our 8th Grade AVID class had the opportunity to get to know each other a bit better. Under the supervision of Ms. McBriety our students participated in outdoor challenges that taught them team building and leadership skills at UCR's team building program. Riverside County had another successful year with the Carol Addiss Student Drug Use Prevention Poster Contest. The winners pictures will be placed in the 2015-16 annual Drug Use Prevention Calendar! The votes have been tallied and Chemawa 8th grader Hoai My Do has won first place!
For information about this years 8th Grade Promotion please click on the link above titled "Important 8th Grade PROMOTION information!" This years Promotion will be on Thursday, June 11, 2015; taking place at Ramona High School's football field promptly at 8:30am.
Mrs. Rocha is Chemawa's PTSA President and does many things for the school. She organizes breakfast with the Principal; attends Cougar Pride Night Events; and is an overall amazing asset to the school. Chemawa is grateful for all that Mrs. Rocha does.

Chemawa's Spring Dance Show was a success! We'd like to thank our students and Mrs. Lisa Shaw for their dedication, commitment, and effort. A BIG Thank you to Arlington High School's Golden Girls and All-Male Hip Hop teams. All Participants were impressive. Chemawa is fortunate to host this exciting event. Congratulations to all of our returning and incoming students who made the 2015-2016 Chemawa Dance Team. We look foward to next year's show.
Chemawa is excited to be offering a Summer Enrichment Program for incoming 7th & 8th graders. The two-week program will take place June 15th - 26th. On Sunday, November 9, 2014, our very own Running Club successfully achieved their first race.
Chemawa is recruiting incoming seventh grade students for our newly created Cougar Academy. Click the title for more information.
Students may purchase PE uniforms and locks during their PE class the first week of school. A set of PE clothes which includes the shirt, shorts and lock will be $25. Individual items are as follows: a shirt is $8, a pair of shorts is $12 and a lock is $5. Students may bring their own gym clothes and lock if desired. Please bring a gray shirt and blue gym shorts.
