On Wednesday, August 24th, 2016, all Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) facilities (schools, offices and facilities, etc.) will be closed to the public, as the District conducts an organization-wide professional development and training day for RUSD staff. All students entering 7th grade are required by law to have proof of a whooping cough booster (‘Tdap’) shot in order to attend classes. If your child has Medi-Cal or does not have medical insurance, he or she can receive the vaccine for free at the RUSD Health Center, 5700 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, CA 92504 (open Monday-Friday from 1:30-4:30 p.m., no appointment necessary). The vaccine can also be obtained at the Riverside Neighborhood Health Center, 7140 Indiana Ave., Riverside, CA 92504 from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. If your child has already received the Tdap booster shot please bring a copy of the shot record to spirit day so that it can be documented if you did not document with elementary school.
