King's Navy JROTC underwater robotics team has earned a spot at the Sea Perch Nationals to be held at Louisiana State University on May 20-21. The team is lead by seniors Tori Jerusal and Jessica Martinez. Congratulations, and good luck at Nationals!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Dave Tucker, Counselor who passed away last Saturday after a battle with cancer. Dave’s Memorial Services will be on Saturday, February 13th at 10:00 am at the Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary in Riverside.
Chalk day applicants needed March 1-25, you do not need to currently be in art to apply. If you want to create a chalk masterpiece on the cement around and near the art building alone or in a group of up to three students now is the time to apply. Please come by F-104 to get an application. All applications are due back to F-104 by March 25 with the image you have in mind. You will be notified after spring break if you were selected.
Call for all artist, the third quarter art show is open to all students. If you would like to create and show that art in a great setting please bring 1 completed artwork, any style or media to any one of the art teachers by the end of February. All work will be shown in the March 14-25 art show with an opening reception March 15, from 5 - 7 pm.
King Parents: Reminder, the access road near the theatre is for staff to use in order to park in the staff parking lot (back of the school). Please drop-off and pick-up your student in the front of the school at all times. Thank you for your attention in this matter.
High school seniors, parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the FREE Cash for College Workshops that are being held January & February 2016 at each of our high school sites. These Financial Aid Workshops are being held across RUSD to provide hands-on help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), California Dream Act, and the Chafee grant application. RUSD high school counselors and Financial Aid college counselors will be present to assist in answering all your questions. Spanish interpreters will be available to assist families.
