  • Husky Pride Since 1965!

    The 2014-2015 school year marks J.W. North High School's 50th year! We will celebrate our golden anniversary with special events and commemorative activities throughout the school year.

  • Achieve UC

    A special thank-you to UC Riverside Chancellor, Kim A. Wilcox, and the Achieve UC Program for visiting North on October 24. Admissions counselors from UCR hosted a workshop that provided information on the UC application process, tips for writing the personal statement, and information on housing, financial aid and scholarships. BSR, Chamber Singers and Pep Squad performed during the welcome.

  • Love Yourself ~ Be Drug Free!

    Multi-Cultural Council will sponsor Red Ribbon Week October 27-31. Information on the dangers of drug and alcohol use will be spread through awareness activities. Click for the week's agenda.

  • Halloween Carnival and Football Game

    Children of all ages are invited to join us for Halloween on October 31! The United Student League will sponsor Husky Halloweentown before the Varsity Football game vs. Rancho Verde. Food, music, activities, games and trick-or-treating will be provided by North clubs and organizations beginning at 4:30 p.m. Children 12 years & under who are dressed in Halloween costume will be admitted free to the football game at 7:00 p.m. Community and alumni welcome!   • Thank-you BNSF Railroad!

    JW North High School received a $2,000 donation from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad at the City Council Meeting on October 21. Members of the United Student League graciously accepted the donation for participating in the Rail Safety Twitter Contest. Way to go, Huskies!

  • Congrats Models of Excellence!

    Two North programs have been honored by the Riverside County Office of Education as Models of Excellence. Congratulations to Carolina Tamayo and our Multi-Cultural Council, and Christine Schive and Greg Schive and our International Baccalaureate and AVID: Access, Rigor and Support Program.

  • Senior Timeline

    Senior Timelines were distributed at the Senior Meeting on October 14. New this year, caps and gowns will be provided by the Riverside Unified School District for each graduating senior. Cap and Gown Order Day is Thursday, February 5. Make-up Day and Senior Parent NIght will be held on Monday, February 9 in the Theater. Click for a timeline of senior events.

  • Citrus Classic Bike Ride

    A special thank-you to members of the Football Team, Interact, Renaissance and the United Student League who worked the Andulka Park Station during the bike ride on October 12. Thank-you to the Pete Jackson and our BSR who played at the starting line at the Riverside Plaza. A job well done!

  • Senior Portrait Deadline ~ October 23

  • 50th Homecoming Celebration

    We celebrated our 50th Homecoming on Friday, September 26. A pre-game tailgate was held featuring booths sponsored by clubs, organizations, sports teams, and alumni, a total of 25 current staff members who are proud North Alumni were honored as this year's Grand Marshals, former Homecoming Queens joined us, and with a fireworks finale, we crowned our 2014 Queen, Kassandra Aguilera. Happy 50th, Huskies!
