  • Dress Code for 2014-2015 School Year

    John W. North High School will be modifying our dress code for the 2014-2015 school year. The dress code was provided to students today, Tuesday, April 8 during their Advisory class and is posted on the website. We wanted to be sure you were aware of the changes for the upcoming school year in order to make appropriate clothing selections.

    The North Star placed 4th in Best of Show at the highly competitive National High School Journalism Convention (JEA/NSPA), held in San Diego April 10-13. Click for details.

  • Washington Post Honor

    North has been named to the Washington Post's List of the 2014 Most Challenging High Schools across the nation. The list is based on the Post's Challenge Index, which determines the rate of students taking college-level tests, such as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams. North ranked 4th among schools in the Inland Empire and first among RUSD schools.

  • IB Recognition ~ Champions on the Rise

    Our International Baccalaureate Diploma program and students were recognized as "Champions on the Rise" by the Fair Housing Council of Riverside County, Inc. at the Champions of Justice Banquet on April 3. This award is given to students under 18 on a path to give back to the community and better themselves.

    Congratulations to Boys Basketball! Following an undefeated regular season on the court and selection to the CIF-SS Open Division, we are the #1 team in the final High School Game Time area rankings released by The Press-Enterprise. Click for individual awards. Way to go, Huskies!

    JW North won the African American Academic Bowl sponsored by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, Pi Rho Chapter at UC Riverside on April 5. Winners include Deja Aggrey, Cole Bailey, Malik Martin and Dominique McDonald ~ who all won personal laptops! Click for a team photo.

    The Class of 2015 will sponsor the Junior-Senior Prom at The Veranda at Green River Golf Club in Corona on Saturday, April 26. Tickets will be on sale April 7-25. Click for a permission slip, dance guidelines and off-campus guest form.

  • Grad Nite at Magic Mountain

    The Class of 2014 will attend the annual Grad Nite celebration at Magic Mountain on Thursday, June 12. Tickets will be sold from the Student Store April 14-May 2 for $100 per grad/$120 per guest.
