Project K.I.N.D. provides no cost to patient, quality health care through community and professional health care volunteers to identified school children, who reside in designated areas in Riverside County and who are ineligible for federal and state assistance and are without private insurance. Project K.I.N.D. will be participating with the ADA, CDA and Tri-County Dental Society in the "GIVE KIDS A SMILE" project starting February 14, 2014, during National Children's Dental Health Month. FREE dental care will be provided to uninsured children throughout the months of February to June. For more information contact Project K.I.N.D. at 951-686-1976.
In the coming weeks, you will be asked to give your thoughts on this question: “What would most help all students in RUSD to be successful?” We need to hear from you as our district begins putting together its Local Control and Accountability Plan. Districts throughout California are crafting these plans, which signal a significant change from the state-controlled “one size fits all” educational plans of the past to a more locally-minded plan that specifically addresses the needs of our students here in Riverside. Make sure to have your voice heard! Come of one of the community meetings, included one right here at our school. You can find a full list of meeting dates and times at: www.successforstudents.org. You also can share your ideas at this website.
We encourage our parents and guardians to get involved at Adams Elementary School. We always need volunteers for various activities throughout the year, and we have a very active PTA that works tirelessly for our students and staff. You are welcome to attend School Site Council meetings, English Language Advisory Committee (E.L.A.C.), PTA meetings, and PTA Family Night functions that are held throughout the year. We also have Dragon Assemblies each month to acknowledge outstanding students. Our teachers are all available for conference should you have a question or concern about your child/ren's educational needs. Each teacher has a voicemail box, and can also be reached by e-mail.
