Testing

CELDT(California English Language Development Test) (http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/el/)
–Given during the window of July through October
–English learners are required to take the CELDT annually
–Covers 4 domains of English acquisition: listening, speaking, reading, & writing
–Results code the level of English as a Phase 1=Non-English speaker; Phase 2, 3, 4 as Limited English and a
Phase 5 as ready for regular classes.
