  • End of Quarter 3, No School on 3/31/17

    There is NO SCHOOL for MIDDLE SCHOOL students on Friday, March 31st. This is the end of quarter 3 grading day for teachers. Please be aware that this is a regular school day for all RUSD high schools and elementary schools.

    All RUSD schools will be closed from April 3 - 7, 2017 for Spring Break. School will resume on Monday, April 10th. Enjoy your vacation!

  • Parent/Student Middle School Conference

    RUSD will be holding a "Middle School Matters: a Bridge to Success" conference on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Gage Middle School from 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM. This conference is for middle school students and parents to become involved and aware of pertinent educational programs that support student college and career choices. Students and parents/guardians will obtain information, strategies, and resources through a variety of educational workshops taught by counselors and community partners on topics such as the transition to middle school, transition to high school, Internet safety, AB 540, & the Dream Act, Bullying, College Readiness 101, and Career Technical Education.   • Congratulations Soccer Teams!

    A BIG Congratulations to the FAMMS 8th grade Soccer teams! Our 8th grade boys team came in 2nd Place in a nail biting final match and the 8th grade girls cliched the title of 1st Place in the RUSD Middle School Soccer Tournament!! Way to go teams! Macawesome job to our players and coaches Mr. Mejia and Mrs. Squire!

  • Last Day to Order Yearbooks!

    HURRY! The LAST day to pre-order a FAMMS Yearbook is March 30th. They may be purchased from Mrs. Blasjo in Room 708 for $40.00.   • FAMMS Teacher of the Year!

    A BIG congratulations goes out to Mrs. Lowery, Language Arts and AVID teacher for being selected as FAMMS' "Teacher of the Year!" WAY TO GO, MRS. LOWERY! She is an amazing teacher who is 100% committed to her students…The students are willing to take risks, put forth their best effort, and go above and beyond what’s expected of them because they know they have Mrs. Lowery's support. Her hard work and dedication to our students is MACAWESOME!!

  • Wednesday Planning Days

    Please be aware that beginning with the 2014/15 school year, every WEDNESDAY will be an early release day for students, school dismisses at 12:05 PM. School busses run accordingly on Wednesday's. The early release day allows for teacher/school planning time. Please mark your calendars accordingly and make any necessary transportation or after-school care arrangements.   • School Spirit Days

    Don’t forget that every Wednesday is a Spirit Day at Frank Augustus Miller Middle School. With our focus on exposing ALL students to College and their academic life/plans after High School, we have made Wednesday a day where the students can wear their favorite College Team/University Wear. Every Friday is our school spirit day, please wear our school colors of turquoise and yellow. PLEASE support the Spirit at Frank Augustus Miller!

  • FAMMS is a World Record Holder!

    Guinness has officially declared Frank Augustus Miller’s May 20, 2016 square dance the world record! We had 1040 dancers on that day, including students, staff members, Board members, and parents from our PTSA. The event was the culmination of our physical education dance unit. The PE department also taught the square dance moves to our staff members. Way to go Macaws!

  • Box Tops for Education

    Frank Augustus Miller Middle School PTSA is collecting Box Tops for Education. This is a great way to earn money for FAMMS, just by collecting General Mills Box Tops. Here are some examples of the various vendors who offer Box Tops. Each 7th period class has a wrapped box to put box tops in. Thank you for your participation and bring in those box tops!

    ELECTRONICS RECYCLED HERE! Turn in your old ink & laser cartridges, cell phones, gaming systems, ipods, GPS devices, DVD’s, PDA’s, Digital Cameras, Laptops, iPads, Tablets and eReaders. Collection box is located in the Library.

  • What is Haiku?

    RUSD uses Haiku, an online learning management system, that allows parents to stay in communication with teachers regarding classroom assignments and policies. All teachers at FAMMS have a Haiku web-page. Content on pages will vary by teacher or department. In general, parents will have access to: the course syllabus, grading practices, biographical teacher information, contact information, classwork and homework assignments, teacher created notes and handouts that often may be downloaded to view or print, helpful course-related links and class calendars. Please click on the Parents tab above for information on creating a parent Haiku account.

  • What is the Aeries Portal?

    The Aeries Portal allows parents and students to monitor grades, missing assignments, and late work in “real time” from any internet connected device. Aeries should be checked daily to monitor student progress. Please see directions to the left to create an account. Please contact the main office for the verification code required for account creation.
