Hawthorne Elementary “Soars to New Heights” at our beautiful campus located just off of historic Victoria Avene. We are committed to providing our students with high quality instruction aligned with the California Common Core State Standards, opportunities to explore areas of strength and interest, and programs that enhance the educational experience. We believe that instruction in the arts is an important part of a well-rounded educational program. Digital citizenship is also a critical component of an educational program that ensures students are college- or career-ready when they graduate from high school. Through our teacher-developed ARTECH program, all students enjoy lessons that integrate the arts with other subjects such as history, science, and English language arts. ARTECH also supports our commitment to the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning. Personalized Learning, AVID Elementary, and the after-school HEARTS program also add to the richness of opportunity available at Hawthorne.
