Once again this summer, REEF is providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for RUSD teachers to take part in scientific research expeditions with Earthwatch Institute. This marks the seventh year REEF has partnered with a local benefactor to make this opportunity possible. Since 2007, 24 RUSD teachers have traveled the globe to work with the world's leading scientists to help discover the answers to some of the most critical environmental issues facing our planet. You are encouraged to review the attached flyer and consider applying for a summer fellowship. The experience promises to bring a fresh new outlook to your classroom - whatever the grade or subject you teach. Please note - the deadline for submitting your application to Earthwatch is Friday, February 15, 2012, with final interviews happening the week of February 25.
