Congratulations to the recipients of 169 REEF grants. Grant recipients were feted at a reception on Wednesday, Dec. 10. This year, REEF gave $172,570 in grant funds to enrich learning for students across the district. Since its founding 21 years ago, REEF has given 1,774 grants for a total of $1.5 million. Wow! Five $500 Scholarships, in memory of former RUSD Board of Education member Maxine Frost; and one $1000 scholarship, honoring the service of retired Board of Education member Lew Vanderzyl, will be awarded to graduating AVID students in RUSD.
