The Assistant Superintendent of Operations is ultimately responsible for the division’s philosophy and its implementation. Optimal learning environments, safe schools, customer service, and cost-effective school development and maintenance are the priorities of the division.
Among many achievements, the assembly of the Facilities Financing Advisory Committee, composed of community and school district individuals, ultimately recommended a local bond measure be placed on the ballot. This group’s efforts promoted the development of the Facilities Improvement Plan that led to voter approval of Measure B, the local bond measure to address school facilities needs at virtually every school.
