I am excited to report that your RSA speech and debate team finished as quarter-finalists in Public Forum, which means we’re formally ranked #5 in all of California! What makes this stat most remarkable is that unlike many programs which run as elective classes in schools exceeding 2500+ students, our program runs as an after-school club, in a school of just 250 students. Therefore, the fact that we achieved this level of success is truly awesome!
Congratulations to Alex Herrera who was recognized by the Riverside County Office of Education as one of the top academic scholars at the 12th Annual Riverside County Student Academic Awards dinner.
RSA's own Ian Hughes and his partner Sam Gleason (Poly HS) won 3rd Place at the State Science Fair this year. This was Riverside's only team to place at the State level. Join us in congratulating both of them for their hard work and dedication.
RSA's own Nathaniel Colbert was named as one of the 25 most remarkable teens for 2017. This program is designed to recognize Riverside's youth for excellence in academics, athletics, arts and culture, community involvement, leadership, courage to overcome, acts of valor, or any other remarkable acts. The program aims to encourage Riverside's best and brightest to have a voice in public policy and other decision making that directly impacts the lives of young people.
