Everyone loves a carnival
The big carnival and craft fair comes to Castle View on June 3, noon to 3 p.m. Food (Kona Ice, tacos, popcorn), 13 game booths, prizes, bounce houses, water slide (bring a swim suit!) and a bake sale are on tap. Games are 25 cents each or $5 for unlimited play! Raffle baskets are also sought. A flier describing the donations by theme for each grade level was distributed earlier.
Did we say 13 game booths? Well, that depends on parent volunteers. Several games will not be run because of a lack of volunteers at this time. That can change between now and Friday night with your help. You can volunteer for a brief shift of 30 minutes to run a game, slide or bounce. Twenty spots must be filled every half hour. Right now only one or two people have signed up per slot. Volunteers also are needed to supervise the slides and bounce house. So this is a volunteer-driven carnival? You betcha! If you are coming to the carnival anyway, then hang out as a volunteer for 30 minutes more! Volunteers receive free game tickets! Look way cool to your kids!
